Things to know


Newborn sessions should be scheduled in the first 12 days of your baby being born if possible. During this time newborns tend to be sleepiest and retain that fresh newborn curl. Of course we can still do a newborn session after this period. You can expect the session to last anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours. However I don't put a time limit on the session as I understand that babies sometimes need more time to settle.


I started out doing newborn sessions in my own home early on. It was nice for me to have everything I needed at my finger tips and knowing where the best light was. However after the birth of my own daughter I realized the importance of the immediate postpartum period. That special time of bonding with your little one will come and go so quickly. The last thing I want to do is disrupt that time any more than I need to. Therefor I decided to start doing newborn sessions in the client’s home. I find that everyone is a little more relaxed at home and that babies can be soothed a little easier.


Your session will be mostly beautiful naturally posed images of your baby. I will capture all of their tiny features and get a few different poses/looks for the gallery. I will also include a few loosely posed images of you with the baby and if they have siblings a few with them as well. Those images will have a more lifestyle feel to them.

When is the best time to book my newborn session?

Newborn sessions should be scheduled in the first 12 days of being born. While we generally cannot predict when a baby will decide to be born you can always contact me and we can tentatively schedule your session.

Do you bring props with you to the session?

When you book your session we will discuss your preferences and that will help guide me on what to bring. For the most part I tend to keep images simple with few props. With that said I will bring everything I need to the session, including my posing bag and a few wraps/outfits for baby.

If you have something specific in mind let me know prior to your session so that I can make sure I am able to accommodate the request.

Do you travel outside of the Temecula Valley?

I sure do. Let me know where you had in mind. Depending on the location there may be a travel fee.
